Peania, December 18 2007 - ALPHA KRAKOW DEVELOPMENT Sp z.o.o, a 37% subsidiary of ALPHA GRISSIN INFOTECH S.A. and INTRAKAT S.A. signed a 40 million euro contract for the construction of a residential and commercial real estate complex in Krakow, Poland.
In more detail, INTRAKAT undertook the construction of the state-of-the-art real estate complex GARDEN RESIDENCE in Krakow, on a total land surface of 26,900 m2 owned by ALPHA KRAKOW DEVELOPMENT Sp z.o.o where there will be developed a total of 70,323 m2 of building and other facilities.
The contract includes the construction of 453 apartments in 2 building complexes of 5 and 8 storeys respectively, with 530 parking spaces, 1,600 m2 of commercial space and 1,750 m2 of recreational fitness/spa center. In addition there will be developed ultramodern facilities for the control of technical and other installations (power supply, water, communication, sewage, central heating etc.), Kinden garden, while a total of 7,000 m2 of outer space as well as parts of the inner space will be shaped to include vegetation, green areas and gardens. The works are expected to commence by beginning of 2008 and will conclude at an estimated 24 months.
INTRAKATs decision to enter the Polish market, especially in the fast growing real estate sector of this country, is in alignment with the groups strategic plan to expand its construction activities in new markets abroad and is a vivid proof of the dynamic growth course that the Company is experiencing recently.
